The star of the lineup is the 2011 Vacqueyras Lao Muse. A blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah that’s aged all in 1-year-old barrels,
it possesses fantastic richness and depth, with ample, ripe blackberry, plum, licorice, leafy herb and pepper-driven aromas and flavors, and despite the stint in oak, it never loses its southern Rhone soul. A medium to full-bodied, ripe and textured 2011, it stays fresh and lively on the palate with good overall acidity and length. Enjoy bottles over the coming decade. 91 Parker Points.
